Slanding: Mike Messe-rsmith, Janet Hoopes, Marsha Richards, Kathy Hager, Martha McCallister Peggy Cairns, Diane Staley, Ronnie Keating, Becky Schuyler, Nancy Weldon, Lillian Thomas. ' The Girls' Varsity Hockey Team, coached by Miss Kuhn, ended the year with a record of five wins and three loses. The j.V. Hockey Team was undefeated. Prior to this exciting hockey season, many of the girls attended Hockey Camp at Friends School, which did a great deal toward con- ditioning them for the games ahead. The graduating seniors are Ency Schick, Cap- tain, Mike Messersmith, fullbackg Nancy Weldin, Junior Varsity halfback, Sandy Hoffman, center-halfbackg and Judy Creedon, versatile. Although the squad will lose the valuable assistance of these seniors, there will be nine returning varsity players. As a climax of their winning season, the girls defeated Claymont and won the trophy donated to the winning team by Mr. Harvey E.
