HARVEST GUEE SANDI HOFFMAN The highlight of football season was the annual Harvest Ball, sponsored by the Future Farmers of America. Early in September five attractive senior girls were chosen by the Senior Class to reign as the Harvest Court and compete for the title of Harvest Queen. The five girls were Norma Buchanan, Sandi Hoffman, Sonya Kunitsky, Sandy Robertson and Carol York. Campaigning started with posters in the cafeteria and spread all over the school with students wearing but- tons and cards for their candidates. Following an as- sembly for the presentation of the girls, the student body cast their votes. As traditional, the name of the winner was kept secret until intermission of the Har- vest Ball, when last year's Queen, Irene Hooten Talley, crowned Sandi Hoffman.
