EVENTS ALONG THE TRAIL Our Hugh School Traul was fulled wuth hope, antucupatuon, and unforgetable memorues Now at the end of the traul, we look back to our Freshman year To us, thus was the furst of a long serues of adventures A new outlook on lufe had developed Thus was the begunnung We began our Freshman year by electing our class offucers who were Presudent, Glenn Sheley, Vuce Presudent, Ted Montgomery, Secretary, Vada Snapp, and Treasurer, Bob Toms Our Co Op Representatuves were Sue Preston and Jerry Croy The Sponsors were Muss Boldman, Mr Buck and Mr Frazuer Homecomung tume was drawung near, and we chose Vada Snapp as our Freshman Can dudate for Queen At Christmas tume, we held a Class Party at the Kud Kanteen The gurls brought box lunches and we had a guft exchange Back to school as Sophomores, we knew our way around a luttle better Our offucers thus year were Presudent, Dave Telfer, Vuce Presudent, Phul Warren Sec retary, Sue Preston and Treasurer, June Hocker Co Op Representatives were Sue Alex, Fred Haas, Jerry Croy, and Ted Montgomery We chose Sue Preston as our candidate for Homecomung Queen wuth Rod Chesser as her escort We were really proud of our class sweaters, though they were a luttle large The sweaters were munt green wuth whute letters Durung January, we held our furst class party of the year at the Kud Kanteen Toward the end of the school year we had another party Thus one was held at Beulah Park Thus was a weuner roast followed by a scavenger hunt and dancung at the Kanteen At the close of our Sophomore year, we found our treasury consuderably boosted We had worked hard sellung Chrustmas cards, statuonary, and wrappung paper We re elected Dave Telfer, Presudent, for our Junuor year, because of hus very capable leadershup Those helpung Dave thus year were Vuce Presudent, Vada Snapp Secretary, Nora Farmer, and Treasurer, Kay Cox Thus year, we were led by Vada Snapp un many successful prouects We sold Chrustmas trees, dusters, and typung paper Judy Hull made a lovely appearance as Homecomung Queen Candudate wuth Glenn Sheley as her handsome escort On December Ii we had a class party at the Kanteen December T7 was our bug day We receuved our class rungs Kay Cox s farm home was the scene of our last Junuor Party It was a pucnuc wuth every one helpung wuth arrangements Then, lufe seemed to druft from realuty to a dream Our senuor year wuth all uts glory was here For our last year, Rodney Chesser was Presudent Ted Montgomery, Vuce Presudent Pat Foster, Secretary, and June Hocker, Treasurer Thus year we made money wuth the concessuons at ball games The annual Homecomung was hughlughted when our Patsy Mack was crowned Queen at the Autumn Leaves dance. Our popular Steve Slone was her escort. AS Christmas drew near plans were made for the Christmas Dance. Cn May 1, branched off on a big trail east to Washington, D.C. for 3 days of sight- seeing, fun and a serious study of the history and government of our country.
