158 EPIC Presidential Classroom Whether Ann Hse wandered through the Smithsonian, or Charles Neal surveyed the city from the top of the Washington Mon- ument, both ASH students experienced the excitement of the annual Presidental Class- room Award in Washington D.C. A week in the nation's capital is awarded to excep- tional seniors each year. Charles Neal and Ann Hse were chosen to represent A5H's class of 1968. Pel State Understanding our state's complex govern- ment ia a real challenge, but for thirteen ASH students, it's a challenge met and conquered. Those students attended a weeklong summer workshop in Baton Rouge which consists of mock elections, the filling of official positions, and the explanation of state lows. The de- lagotes return with a clearer view of state government, which prepares them to take an active role in their government. Representing ASH this year were: Kari Belvin, Aaron Bishop, Patrick Burchfield, Lana Davis, Lola Davis, Joey Fisher, Shane Gauthier, Brad Herrington, Lynna Lai, William Lubelski, Troy Metoyer, Ross Miller, and Karin Rossby.
