FOOTBALL ON THE FIELD . . .The line individual ellorls ol lhe l973-74 Trojan loolball leam were nol ade- qualely rellecled by lhe season's over all record. Bobby Ivloreauwas unanimously seleclecl lor lhe Isl All Dislricl leam in Dislricl 4-AAAA. He was also chosen as lhe lvlosl Valuable Ollensive Back and lhe Ivlosl Valuable Ollensive Player ol lhe dis- lricl. Two olher oulslanding players, who will relurn lo ASH nexl year, are Chesler Gallin, cho- sen lor lhe lirsl All Dislricl leam, and George Lyons, named lo lhe 2nd All Dislricl leam. Olher oulslanding players included seniors Gary Laborde, Derike Gammage, Mike Ford, Johnny Carnes, and Brian Dyess. Relurning lo lhe line-up nexl lall are many iuniors who pul in a hard season, despile iniuries. Some ol lhese are Bernard Reed, Keilh Barmore, Mark Swanson, and Jimmy Hickman. The season ended wilh a viclory over Wossman and an even more delermined Trojan leam looking lorward lo lhe T974 season. OFF THE FIELD . . .December was a monlh ol surprises wilh bolh good news and bad. For lhe lirsl lime in nine years, a player lrom lhe Alexan- dria area received a lull paid scholarship lo LSU. In December, Scoul Craig Randall announced lhal our quarlerback, Bobby Moreau, would sign wilh lhe Tigers. Coach Randall was exlremely compli- menlary when speaking ol Bobby's exlraordinary loolball playing abilily al bolh guarlerback and delensive back posilions. On lhe olher side ol lhe coin, lhe Alexandria area was surprised by lhe news lhal Bulch Cren- shaw, head loolball coach ever since ASH opened live years ago, would be resigning lo go inlo pri- vale business.
