lf Lfihg ALE CK0 1 JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY HEN we who are today the unlor Class drove up to the hxgh school ln our Bahy Austxns three years ago we were confldent of lmmedlate success ln all we undertook and llttle reallzed that the road whlch had heen smooth enough for our lclddle cars kmdergarten mlght not he so smooth when heavxer traffic went over If The flrst thlng we notlced was that we were the most mslgnlflcant persons who had started out on the road of school actxvrtles for very grown up and self possessed people were starting handsome cars all around us and we felt very small and helpless From that txme on xt seemed that we were the playthlngs of the Fates for every car on the road passed us and every accxclent came our way our tlres had to he contmually tnflated w1th school splrxt We stopped at a road house to purchase some refreshments and the school hody made a rush for us Sophomores umors SCHIOFS the Faculty and even out slders and we had to make a general party of lt and entertam them all They sa1d lf was our duty Our Austlns were so small that everybody humped mto us and tw1ce durmg the year we dlsagreeahle and even the upper classmen were afrald of them and don t say we weren t glad to s1ght the Sophomore Fxlllng Statxon at last When we drove up to thrs statxon we saw a lot of second hand LILZICS and we declded to exchange our Austms for them anythxng to get a larger car and have more of a r1ght of way on the road We started out wlth lugh hopes and were greeted heartlly ln Wrxtez-sv1lle Oratory Arh letlcs and Artsvllle and made a name for ourselves ln all four towns We met us wlth those Exam Company truclcs agaln but got hy all rlght and when we wanted refreshment we went down a slde road and escaped having to entertam the others So throu h all the twxsts and turns of the road of school act1v1t1es we have one tri g g umphant and have arrrved ln our present state We are now runnmg racers and have passed everythmg else on the road even those awful trucks have let us slip by rather easxly We have COIT18 3lI'l'10SI EO Elle End of the road and W8 hope VNC haven I left many RCW I'L1fS U1 If IOI' the OI'lCOl'D1Hg classes SO WlSl'1 LIS lL1k,li While W6 rest before SlZ3.l'IlI'1g OD the last lap C JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS Preszdent CHILTON BRUIN Vrce Preszdent or-JN ANNEY Secretary Treasurer LILLIAN WIGFIELD 46 ff? -.
