Uver Hlll, Over Dell - The girls' and boys' cross country track team had a good year. Their new coach was Coach Ancona and practices began early in the school year. Plagued by in- juries, the girls' team dwindled to just a few girls. However, those able to compete did well. In the district competition, Lundy Palmer finished second, Sharla Rainer was fourth, Chris Palmer was eleventh and Johnye Roa was fourteenth. Lundy and Sharla moved on to regionals where they placed twenty-second and twenty-first respectively. All in all, their team did very 50 Cross Country C.C. Races to VlCtOfy well under the circumstances, and they are looking for- ward to next year. The boys' team had a good season also. Although the competition was tough throughout the year, they stood up to it. The boys all ran very well with good times. The course they run is three miles, whereas the girls run two miles. The boys team was a new addition to the athletic program this year. Their practice and competition should help them in the years to come. .m.- Upper Left: Looking it over. F. Garcia, S. Stellar, M.
