It is for these Seniors, the cl-ass of 1926 in order that they may have a permanent record of the high school year, that we who have labored over this volume, aim to characterize as far as pos- sible, the life of A. H. S. as it really is, and to indicate the progress of our school. Also we wish, in compiling this record, to reproduce the environ- ment in which high school students are living, so that you, alumni, may recall your high school days, so that you, instructors, may enjoy again the year you have lived with us, so that you, undergraduates, may catch the spirit that will hold you forever to your high school.
