Aldine Bows to The Aldine Mustangs got off to a slow start as they opened their T969-70 football season by losing to Sam Houston. In the opening quarter Aldine's halfback Don Burrisk scored Al- dine's first touchdown in a one yard dive. In the second quar- ter, Sam Houston's quarterback Robert Armstrong found split end Bobby Huges 50 yards in the end zone for the final Sam Houston score. At halftime the score was tied 7-7. The second half was completely Sam Houston's as they put T3 more points on the scoreboard to make the final score Sam Houston 20, Aldine 7.
