Right: The Backfield (Matt, Chad, Doug, Shane, Mike, and Kim) provide the Queen and her court with some fine musical entertainment. Below: 1987 Sweetheart Royalty: Shari Erickson, Margaret Lind, Sweetheart Queen Angie Havelaar, Kristen Peterson, Marie Solheim, and Julie Moller. Alcester High Shows Its “True Colors” At Sweetheart As Kristi N. played the theme song, Joe V.B., the M.C. announced the candidates and their escorts: Angie H. and Steve T.; Shari E. and Jamie J.; Julie M. and Shane C.; Marie S. and Gavin C.; and Margaret L. and Randy A. Joe then announced, “The 1987 Sweetheart Queen is Angie Havelaar!” Jason F. crowned the new queen, and Kristen Peterson presented her with a box of candy. Everyone was then entertained by various skits and musical selections. The program ended with Renee P. singing the theme song, followed by a dance with the music by “Hitmenn”. 8

Left—Sophomores serve meal to seniors Middle—Juniors serenade the seniors Bottom right—“Too warm for you, Jason?” Prom ’87! In The Air Tonight As the 1987 Jr.-Sr. Prom theme, “In the Air Tonight,” was being played, the seniors were escorted into the banquet by the sophomores. After the welcome and response, Central Cater- ing served the meal. The class history was given and futures predicted. A slide show and music provided entertainment. Music by Powershift and casino night finished off the evening. Thanks to all who helped with Prom.
