Steve And Tricia Reign Over A Night Of “Dreams” Following the attendants were crown bearers Scott Embrock and Kama Johnson, flower girl Abby Peterson, and envelope bearer Joshua Hofer. The senior candidates were Angie Havelaar and Randy Anderton, Julie Moller and Jeff Schumacher, Tricia Satter and Steve Torkelson. Jason then announced that the 1986 Homecoming King and Queen were Steve Torkelson and Tricia Satter. To entertain the royalty, the classes presented a variety of skits and musical selections.

6 Homecoming 1986 As 7:30 drew near, the lights dimmed and the audience watched anxiously as the curtains slowly parted to reveal the 1986 Homecoming theme “Dreams”. The spotlight soon shifted from the stage to the doorway as accom- panists Mary Johnson and Renee Pederson softly played the theme song. The master of ceremonies, Jason Fickbohm, then announced the attendants, freshmen Darcie Webster and Jeff Smith; sophomores Julie Torkelson and Jon St. Pierre; juniors Lisa Peter- son and Joe V.B. Above (Left to Right): King and Queen: Steve Torkelson and Tricia Satter. Candidates: Jeff Schumacher and Julie Moller, Randy Anderton and Angie Havelaar. Below (Left to Right): Vem, played by Karla Schumacher, pleads his case to an unidentified bag lady. The Homecoming activities have affected AHS students in many strange ways. Right: The Backfield (Matt, Chad, Doug, Shane, Mike, and Kim) provide the Queen and her court with some fine musical entertainment. Below: 1987 Sweetheart Royalty: Shari Erickson, Margaret Lind, Sweetheart Queen Angie Havelaar, Kristen Peterson, Marie Solheim, and Julie Moller. Alcester High Shows Its “True Colors” At Sweetheart As Kristi N. played the theme song, Joe V.B., the M.C. announced the candidates and their escorts: Angie H. and Steve T.; Shari E. and Jamie J.; Julie M. and Shane C.; Marie S. and Gavin C.; and Margaret L. and Randy A. Joe then announced, “The 1987 Sweetheart Queen is Angie Havelaar!” Jason F. crowned the new queen, and Kristen Peterson presented her with a box of candy. Everyone was then entertained by various skits and musical selections. The program ended with Renee P. singing the theme song, followed by a dance with the music by “Hitmenn”. 8
