“Old-Fashioned” Sweetheart At AHS Theme for the 1985 Sweetheart Coronation was “Blue Moon”. As Tracy Nelson began to play the theme song, Carmen Ahlers, M.C., announced the candidates. They were Patty Limoges escorted by John Hodgson, Terri Sogn escorted by Carl Johnson, Tamra Tucker escorted by Carl Treiber, Tina Vanderham escorted by Mitch Merrick, and Mary Weyen escorted by Mike Schumacher. It was announced that Patty would be Queen. Jen- ny Jurgensen presented her with a box of candy. Right—V.P. of the S.C., M. Schumacher, crowns Patty Queen. B. Left (L-R)—K. Buum, K. Vanderham, J. Many of the members went to the Region meeting and they participated at the State meeting. The end of the year was celebrated by having a picnic at Newton Hills!
