“1982 Homecoming Royalty Brian Treiber, Chad Trudeau, Kevin Ja- Pat Hammitt, Teresa Limoges, Jill Abraham, Tamra Tucker, Kristi cob. Randy Hongslo, Keith Lapour, Shane McClara, Shayna Brady, Merrick await the announcement of the 1982 King and Queen Homecoming Makes Memories Homecoming 1982 brought to us the theme “Somewhere Down the Road” Master of Ceremonies, Erik Johnson intro- duced the royalty as Melanie Ronning played the theme accom- panied by Lisa Kleinhans on the flute. The anxious crowd focused their attention on the attendants, freshman Kristi Merrick and Brian Treiber, sophomores Tamra Tucker and Chad Trudeau, juniors Bill Abraham and Kevin Jacob. Preceding the candidates were Andrea Saugstad, Brian Wells, Jennifer Limoges, and Shane Ludwig, the flower, envelope, and crown bearers. The spotlight was then focused on the senior candidates. This years’ candidates were Shayna Brady and Shane McClara, Patty Hammitt and Keith Lapour, and Teresa Limoges and Randy Hongalo. Finally, it was time for Erik to open the envelope. Shane and Teresa were announced as the 1982 Homecoming King and Queen. They were robed and crowned by the 1981 King and Queen, Ken Keiser and Robin Embrock. Everyone was entertained as the classes and organizations performed a number of skits and solos. The traditional bonfire was held after the coronation. Friday the student body had a pep rally at Morningside Manor and also on Main Street. It was then announced that the Seniors had won the class competition that had been held throughout the week. The Cubs lost their game to the Viborg Vikings 28-16. A dance was held after the game with music provided by “The Vandals.” Somewhere down the road, we’ll look back to Homecoming 1982 and remember all the great memories that were created during that week. King Shane and Queen Teresa look on the crowd after receiv- ing crowns. 10
