“Freedom c rain’’ ZHomecoming ’’Freedom Train” was the appro- priate theme for Homecoming ac- tivities held on October 9th and 10th. The Homecoming candidates were Charmain Hagen and Vaughn Johnson, Nancy Kraakmo and Rick Hongslo, and Brenda Crawford and Mitch Kjose. Their freshman attendants were Sheryl Gabel and Todd Merrick; sophomores were Rhonda Ryken and Bryan Crawford; juniors were Mary Jane Anderson and Gene Johnson. Excitement swept the stage as the Mistress of Ceremonies, Sue Berg- dale announced our new King and Queen, Mitch Kjose and Brenda Craw- ford. They were crowned by last year’s King and Queen, Steve Farley and Debbie Moller. Skits and musical numbers amused the royalty and audience. Afterwards everyone gathered outside for the traditional burning ”A”. The ”A” burned throughout the pep rally as the band and cheerlead- ers led the crowd. The spirit of the crowd was high when the evening came to a close. The Aicester Cubs lost a very disappointing Homecoming football game to the Tri-Valley Mustangs by a close score of 8-7. The halftime entertainment had the bicentennial theme ’’America 1776” and consisted of formations and songs by the band and pom pom girls as the royalty and their attend- ants marched upon the field. Homecoming festivities came to an end with a dance after the game. Music was provided by the ’’Outer Limits.” A large crowd of students, alumni, and faculty danced to the music ending a very successful Homecoming 1975.
