Let Me Call You Sweetheart February is the month of Sweethearts, and Alcester helped Cupid along as Student Body Presi- dent Tim Winquist crowned Linda Rogness 1974 Sweetheart Queen. Let Me Call You Sweetheart was this year’s festival theme. The other candi- dates were: Joni Eilers, escorted by Mike Kjose, Lorrie Wetrosky, escorted by Brad Kruse, Rhonda Kleinhans escorted by Doug Reppe, and Lisa Sogn escorted by Tim Winquist. Kent Hongslo escorted Queen Linda Rogness. A short program of skits and musical num- bers were presented to the queen and her court by the student body. A dance was held from 9 to 12 with music by the Outer Limits.

Bottom: Mary Sundstrom applies make-up to Roger Wennblom for the senior class play. After practicing many long hours the seniors were at last ready. On November 15 and 16, 1973 the seniors presented the play PENNY ANTICS. It was a comedy in three acts. This is a story of the hilarious life of the Patch family and of Penny Patch, their teen-age daughter who is trying to find herself a date to senior prom. Penny succeeds but instead of one, ends up with three dates for prom. Fifteen seniors took part in the play along with several other class members helping to make the play complete. Mr, Joachim directed the seniors play this year.
