FUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERICA The Future Homemakers of America at Alcester have been busy this year with their var- ious activities. In October, several girls attended the State F.H.A. convention in Huron. In November a family night was held. Our Christmas party featured a supper party and a gift wrapping demonstration. The years activities climaxed with a Mother and Daughter banquet held on March 17 in the gym. In April an eighth grade tea was enjoyed by everyone. Left-The girls present a de- votional at the Mother- Daughter Banquet. Right-F.H.A. girls give five cents for each shoe size in order to raise money. Left-Muriel Jacobsen was the speaker at the Mother and Daughter Banquet. Right-Mrs. Bartlett, the sen- ior chapter mother, was made an honorary member by the president, C. Hammerstrom. 12

Several librarians are chosen from each class with Miss Keating as their supervisor, Diane Mudder serves as head librarian. Many new books have been added to the library this year.
