Ozenovich Instructor Q SPECIAL PROGRAMS OF STUDY Fortier has two separate programs to offer stu- dents who are not planning to attend college. The first of these is the Distributive Education program. In this program the student studies the basic Subjects and specializes in salesmanship, and merchandising on the retail, wholesale and service el. leVThe student attends school one-half day and works part-time in the afternoons. To qualify for this program boys and girls must be over sixteen Clayton Smith, one of the stu ent Photographers at Fortier. years of age and a Junior or Senior in school. The other program offers the same opportunities in the commercial field. Students study shorthand, typing, office practice and in the afternoons work part-time in business offices. ln both these programs students receiye credit for on-the-job training Cearning while they are learningl as well as better promotional opportun- ities after graduation.
