QXQVCS 'VF QW W 4' TO THE GIRLS AND BOYS OF FORTIER HIGH SCHOOL For the fifth consecutive year I am addressing you through the Yearbook. Each time, heretofore, I have called to your attention the growth and progress of our school since September, 1952, when it became co-educational. Again I do so-briefly. Sufficient it is to say at this time, I believe, that in all respects ou'r school has continued to grow in size and scope. Our blessings and rewards have been many, our honors manifold since 1952g and our progress, steadily forward. All this I set down in a spirit of thankfulness touched with deep humility. In passing I want to call your attention to the fact that here and there in this Yearbook you will see pictures of the Fortier seal bearing our school motto: Sauviter in modog Fortiter in re. As I urged you in your Student Handbook, I urge you here-keep this in mind. Respect it, live it, for it bespeaks our aim, which is-sharing this essential development with your homes-to educate our girls and boys spiritually, morally, as well as mentally and physically. In closing I want to repeat in substance what I have said to you often. Walk tall-with dignity, integrity, sincerity. Ever keep your face to the sun, and the shadows will surely fall behind. Lastly, during your days at Fortier, and those after you leave, remember Fortiter in re -strength in action. God be with you always. Sincerely,
