BULLDOG FOOTBALL The football season of Z4 proved that the never say due splrlt ns always to be found m the Albuquerque Hlgh Bulldogs Fxghtmg agalnst great odds all season the team had the satlsfactlon of tying the strong Phoenlx Coyotes and of handmg thelr old rxvals the El Paso Tlgers a severe drubbmg The season was started wnth the strength of last year s team graduated much green maternal many IDJUTICS and the splrxt of Coach Wllson and his squad lr was the last named quallty which turned a rather dlsaster A Z 'Y ous season mto one that will long be remembered After 1 'f ln whlch the team redeemed Itself the game ln which the Bulldog tumbled the Coyote and Tnger ln any case whether the season was successful or not much praise should be glven to Coach Wllson who dnd hls level best to turn out a wmnlng team and to the falthful Pups who stuck all the season even though they knew that oftentimes merlt must be nts own reward SUMMARY OF THE SEASON September 27 Belen at Belen After three weeks of stenuous practice the team accompamed by a large band of rooters invaded Belen and came out on the long end of a l 3 7 score The game was rather slow and was used by the Coach to get a lme up on hrs prospectlve hrst team many substrtutlons bemg made October 4-Belen at Washington Park The second game ended wlth a I4 6 score ln favor of the Bulldogs However It was evldent that the difference would have been greater lf Belen had not been forced to qult the thlrd quarter on account of the ll'ljUI'lCS The Hlgh School scored ln the second and thlrd quarters whlle Belen pulled one long end run ln the second for a score October 11 Indians at Washington Park Although the Redsklns held A H S scoreless the flrst half the team u m A I . . , . ..
