ILUA Bi-.Alltlcih SGANZINI, prize speaker of the State of New Mexico and pride of the A. H. S., combines the sparkle of foreign blood with American culture polished to its best in the A. H. S. Ilda was born November l, l898, in San Francisco. She left this place early in life before she received any evil effects from it and went to Point Richmond. From there she went to Richmond. California, and in l909 came to Albuquerque. llda would die of grief if she ever received less than li in any of her studies. Ilda is very pleasant and is a jolly good companion. After a lyceum platform for possibly the Movies, Ilda will be professor of Latin in some prominent college. A well poised mind is llda's chief characteristic. De- bating Club, 'l 6: winner of local Declamatory Contest in 'l4. and state winner in 'l6: Staff, 'l5, 'l6: N. I. G. Club, 'l6. CH!-15'I'ER k'llARLk.5 BOLUI will never boldt a class for his partyl. He is not a quitter. Chester first made the acquaintance of his parents in West Point, Nebraska, May 29, 1899. So that he might be prepared to graduate with us, he came to Albuquerque in l902 and has since been known as Chet, Chet is self- reliant and dependable. He likes the girls, QU adores his pompadour, and likes to dance. Chet is always sure of what he says and sticks to it, no matter who dis- pules him. l-le has not selected the line of work he will take up, but would shine in the role of either a Dancing Master or a Parson, perhaps. ALMA KATHERINE FRIEDE, and the celebrated Tolstoi, were born in Russia. Alma was born january IZ, 1899. Like her fellow countryman, she has a great love for nature, but instead of loving all humanity, Alma's love is for one particular Mann. Alma is quiet, but is very jolly when she engages in conversation. She is easily embarrassed and doesn't like to be teased. Dissatisfied there, he went to Pasadena, California, for a time. But tiring of the city of millionaires, he ful- filled his destiny by coming to the A. H. S. Hernandez is sell-reliant despite a penchant for dreaming, lfxquisitely polite and a clever Impersonator, he is an idol of the girls il hough dominant and even domineering, he is eternally good nat- ured. His abilities lit him to be director in chief of the railways of the world, and then like Alexander he might sigh for more worlds to conquer for civilization with steam transportation. Basketball, 'l3, 'l6: Football, 'l4: Track, 'l6: Glee Club, 'l 5. 'l6: Spanish Play, 'l5, 'l6. LQRACI-I lIiLIZABEL'I'H HULL began a popular career ,lanuary 2, I897, in Cleve- land, Ohio. ilihis place was not good enough and she moved with her parents and sisters to a better one in l899. Her entire schooling has thus far been received in the .Xlbuquerque schools and she is an excellent example of the scholarship and culture produced by local schools. She will graduate with flying colors, having received many more credits than are required. Grace is always generous in sharing her talents with her less capable classmates. The sunshine of the country is in Crace's nature and work. She is jolly and is an all-round good sport, Grace is a typist of the superior type and it is easy to prophesy t.hat she will become stenographer to the President ol the United States, Basketball, '15, 'l6: Glee Club, '15, '16, PEDRO OSLFNA has demonstrated his superior ability and mental vigor by mak- ing High School in three years. Albuquerque has the honor of being this student's birthplace. lie was born on the day we celebrate the independence of our country. july 4, l89B. Pedro, affectionately called Pete, is another example of home- grown produets outclassing the imports. Pete's favorite subject is Physics and he will probably explode some of Newton's theories.
