PAC-'E I48 FOREWORD The pages that follow contain the efforts of the Cue Staff to record life on campus as we, of t'he class of I9-48, knew it. We have selected sentences and phrases from the Aims and Objectives of Albright College to serve as t-he theme of our book. These, in part, 'help to convey an idea of the standard of campus life and indicate those thi-ngs which t-he college considers most important among its contributions to the lives of the members of the student body. It would, of course, be impossible to record all the events, both great and small, which occurred during our senior year. It would be even -more impos- sible to communicate, through the media of words and pictures, the 'healthy spirit of life on campus. In the years that are to come, memory 'will be our chief guide in recalling the course of our lives during this past year. The Staff sincerely 'hopes that those things which have been omitted will be amply suggested by those which 'have been included. THE STAFF.

DEDICATICN ln l945 with a few of the veterans already back and many yet to return and swell its ranks, the class of '48 made a wise decision in electing Professor Clyde A. Harding as advisor to the class. ln the past three years, Professor Harding has been cooperative, conscientious, and active in guiding our class, the largest in the history of the college, in all its activities. ln t-he classroom, Professor Harding is 'held in esteem by his students, -his mild, sincere manner coupled with an unsurpassed power to flavor pfhilosophy with flecks of wit makes his classes soothing tonics to add to fatiguing schedules. When Professor Harding applies his original and penetrating anecdotes to a subject, whether it is a course in freshman themes, Walt Whit- man, or Omar Khayyam, the true and basic value is found. lt has been a privilege for the -class of '48 to have -had the services of Pro- fessor Harding as advisor and professor and to dedicate t-his book to him.
