SOPHOMORE CLASS Accidentally we made it through our freshman year and here we are sophomores -Accomplishments? - nothing spectacular, but fun - Interest in both boys' and girls' sports played an important part in the activities of the Sophomore Class - Dick Cooper made the varsity basketball squad this year - nice going, Dick - Lenny Nay- man got his chance at Varsity when he went to Brighton with the regular Varsity to play Ceneseo - The Sophomore Class has also been very well represented on the Iunlor Varsity - the sophomore girls can also play basketball - just watch them play after school when the class teams meet - the sophomore girls are also scattered through the intramural teams which play at noon - sophomore boys play volleyball, too, and prove that not only girls can shine in that sport - Staffs of both the Chevron and Clarion Echo attracted many of our classmates - who could forget Sara Cole's narrow escapes from death in the Chevron plays - Clee Club, Christmas Choir, and Operetta gave us a chance to use our talents for vocalizing - the sophomore class had the honor of having three of its girls on the cheerleading squads - Iule Hazard was 'chosen for the varsity squad - Barbara Bower and Nan Lee for the junior varsity squad - We sold tickets for the Alumni play - incidentally we won second prize since only the Sophomore and Freshman Classes were competing and the Fresh- men won first place - seven dollars added to our treasury as second prize to make a grand total of seven dollars - Student Council Essay Contest - indecision about sophomore party - The capable leaders of our class this year were President, Marcia Boyleg Vice-President, Donald Salisburyg and Secretary-Treasurer, Pat Robinson - We think they've done a grand job - Looking forward to our junior year!
