Educators Aim To Make Courses Relevant to Teaching Profession Tornorrow's teachers now train for the future, and the education department is the headquarters for these students. Keeping education courses relevant to the teaching profession is the main objective of the education department at Albion. Thus, changes in the department have been contemplated for the near fu- ture. This year the major breakthrough in the educa- tional field consisted of the appointment of a new standing committee concerned with teacher education. The Education Club has also been busy with various activities this year. Their program for the year has included a speaker on counseling in the secondary schools, a citizen panel on community-school rela- tions, a debate concerning teacher unions, and a work- shop on art education in the schools. Thus, through classes and the Education Club, the education department has considered how it can best prepare its students for teaching. p ,WNXLQ -. , Tahssif' ' '
