Sophomore Class History In September, 1941, one hundred twelve fresh- men entered into the Alhia senior high school, their first stepping stone in the halls of higher education. Some of the athletes who came over with this class have shown up brilliantly in their first year of higher competition. Other students are upholding the tra- dition of former sophomores in the classroom.

The Vocational Shop Before the time of priorities and before the restrictions were placed on building, construction was started on the new vocational shop. This shop is the laboratory of the manual train- ing and vocational agriculture classes. The shop was dedicated by the president of the Board of Education, Mrs. Lizzie Alexan- der, at' the formal opening held Feb. 233 1942. This shop adds a great deal to the curriculum of the school and we are indeed proud of it. We wish to express our gratitude to the townspeople for providing this addition to the campus of A. H. S. l
