Led by state champions Tim Billingsley ll65l and Rick Ringheimer ihvyl, the Bucks placed seven wrestlers for a third place Finish in the state tournament. Billingsley completed his fourth year as a varsity wrestler by winning his second state title. He tinished the year with a 73-19 career record and a 24-4 season record. Second year wrestler Rick Ringheimer captured the state heavyweight title after a second place finish at 191 lbs. last year. His career mark stands at 42-11 with a 26-3 season record. In the State JV Tournament, held here in Winnemucca, these young grapplers placed 2nd as a team. Individual state champions are Paul Kerr t112l, Ray Turner, 41549, Doug Stuart f175l, and Al Urban, 11913. VARSITY BASKETBALL SUP R TAR Varsity Basketball players are, front row Stewart Warner Manager Toby lvlaestrejuan Rudy Salas Bret Gonzalez, Frank Nlaestrejuan Steve Larragueta Second row Ron Bankoher Jon DeChameau Chad Crosby, Brent lVlarcuerquiaga Back row Coach Winans Jim Visger and Ted Willer Leading scorer this season was Ron Bankofier with 14 points per game. Following Ron were Bret Gonzalez, Jim Visger, and Toby lVlaestrejuan with an average of 13 points. Top rebounder was Jim Visger with 14 rebounds per game. Leading in held goals were Jon DeChambeau with 5370, Jim Visger and Ted Willer with 5270. In free throws leading were Ron Bankoher and Jon DeChambeau with 7804. Leading in assists was Brent lvlarcuerquiaga. Leader of steals was Toby Nlaestrujuan. The captain of the team this year was Ron Bankoher. The Lowry Buckaroos were the Champions of the Elko Tournament. Those elected to the All Tournament Elko Team were Bret Gonzalez, Jim Visger, and Ron Bankoher.
