Nlztrv lixerson vvatssigiven the lflslll IIXR .Xwztrtl. 71 am Mavis Augustine and Royal Hayden received the ,-Xinerican Legion awards of good citizenship on Honor Day. They were chosen by the students and the Le- gion Auxiliary to inspire the other students toward the qualities of honor, courage, scholarship and service. Mary Everson was chosen to be this year's Daughter of the American Revolution representative. Mary took part in a two day convention in St. Paul as a part of the award for her all-around good citizenship. An honor lor nine senior boys, that ol' being a .lun- ior Rotarian, was also awarded this year. Each month a boy who had been a leader and participant in school activities, and had the necessary quality ol' leadership, was chosen to attend the Rotary luncheon and inform the club of the activities of the school. Two ol the Junior Rotarians, Michael Duggan and Royal Hayden represented Albert Lea at the annual state junior Rotarian convention in St. Paul.
