O I 'I'o maintain the junior and senior high schools a maintenance stall' is employed. 'l'his stall' consists ol' janitors and engineers who keep the school clean and warm and in good condition. During the night a watclunan keeps a continuous guard over the property. The engineer is responsible for the mechanical lay- out ol' the school while the firemen have the job ol keeping the building at the correct temperature. The janitors do everything lirotu sweeping lloors and cleaning the blackboards to sawing open broken locks for the students. Each janitor is assigned a specific part ol the school to keep up. During vaca- tions they do such work as repainting rooms. Discussing problems of the cafeteria are Mrs. Cora Hutchinson. Mrs. Atuv Evenson. Mrs. Lucille 'l'oI- Iifson. Mrs. Minnie Wagner. Not only did they have to plan and cook nutritious lood with the correct calories and vitamins but there were also three separate meals served each day. junior high started the day with their noon hour at ll:30, lollowed by Lincoln at l'Z:00. Senior high linished the periods at l2:30. Lunch lor lllll pupils was also prepared and sent to Ramsey each day. .PX new program started on February 7. For the lirst time, with the help of federal aid. plate lunches plus milk cost students l5 cents. Formerly the plate lunch was I5 cents and milk seven cents extra.
