When we needed someone to inspire us to study so that we might prove ourselves worthy of being students, you led us to study the Latin language because you were interested in our cultural development. W'hen we wanted to boast of our excellent chapel programs, we always pointed to yours which were presented so well. When we needed an encouraging word, you were ready to listen patiently and to advise carefully. Yes, when we thought of one who loved our school with a love that has never been equalled, we looked to you and your many years of untiring, faithful service which you have so unselfishly given to our school. When we looked for kindness, sincerity, understanding, sympathy for others, and a deep Christian love for one’s fellow man, we looked to you, our very dear friend and teacher for you exemplify each of them in an abundance which we have not found surpassed.
