Student Council this year tried something new and achieved a lot of success because of it. This year's Head Boy, Paul Weaver, and Head Girl, Pam Wuckert were joined by each class officers, plus representatives of the major clubs and groups, to create a much smaller, but more effective Student Council for 1974-75. The main purpose of Student Council is to promote citizenship, scholarship, leadership, human relations and cultural value in our high schools. The group sponsored or participated in many activities this year. Some of them were: Homecoming, a Christmas party for the elderly folk in the community, a three-day student exchange with league schools, a leadership workshop in Colorado Springs, a 50's day and dance, selling milk and donuts before school, plus implementing the buying of an activitiy van for small groups by the district. These students proved that getting involved does accomplish things. 53
