Third in S. C. League With 8-6 Log This year's Maroon Diamond finished up what Coach Johannes considered a successful season. The Maroons compiled an 8-5 league record and a 10-8 overall record. The diamondmen started off slow at the beginning of the season but came back at the end to make a strong showing by beating all the league leaders at least once. , Coach Johannes' team finished 3rd in the league in a tie with Cheyenne Mountain, which is a great improvement over last year's next-to-last finish. The Maroons were young last year and this year and will also be young next year. I-Iopefuls for next years team should be Steve Cavaliere, Ion Rowley, Mtich Rosacker and Jim Fallis. A This year's most valuable player was Tim Hellwig who also made all conferene first team at third base. James Noreiga, Mitch Rosacker, Ion Rowley, Steve Cavaliere and Boogie Romero all received all conference honorable mention honors.
