GY AST QUALIFY FOR DISTRICTS Winners of the Alamosa, Meet in the All around Competition Shelly Smith took second. S ' Alamosa Maroon's Gymnastics team, coached by Mrs. Charlyne Cary had a Very good season this year. All the girls were dedicated and worked hard for the 736.68 team points that they earned for ' the season. High point girl on the team this year was Betsy Turano. Through all around competition Betsy earned 495 individual points By scoring high in league meet at Pueblo County, three girls, Bet Turano Shell Smith . SY , 7 D V 1 and Kriste Gilbert, continued on to District meet in Grand Junction The team consisted of fourteen girls, six freshmen, one sopho- more, four juniors, and two seniors. The girls competed in four meets Alamosa Meet, which they recieved a second place, Tinidad Catholic recieving a second place, a first in Salida, and a second at Paeblo County.
