The Distinguished Lecturers at Trinity University included Dr. Carl Sagan, who discussed such things as the credibility of the Star Wars technology. There were shocked reac- tions worldwide at the assassi- nation of India's Indira Gan- dhi and rioting continued be- tween the Hindus and the Sihks for many Weeks. The band brought home UIL honors by receiving superior ratings at district competition. There is always fear and horror on Halloween Night, as the Displaced Preppie strikes. He chooses his victims very se- lectively, attracted to Almond Rocas and popcorn balls, and will kill for them. He smells like Pierre Cardin cologne and his weapons include a Ralph Lauren belt and a sterling sil- ver butcher knife. While most people stayed home on this night dreading 'Q the Preppie's visit or watching Attack of the Killer Tomaf toesf' others made the most of their Leatherface costumes and went out scaring on their own. Among these were the Keywanettes who struck terror into the hearts of happy Woo- dridge elementary children at their Haunted House. Others, like the Spurs, played it safe and trick or treated for special causes like UNICEF.
