John David Meyer Elba Briggs Shepard IN MEMCRIAM Like a poem or a prayer, the influence of loved ones lingers. The death of our friends and classmates, Elba Briggs Shepard and John David Meyer, saddens us. To give up someone that we love dearly is a 'task to which we are not yet adjusted. We can only say that their memory is as bright as their individual personalities were- glowing and unforgettable. Our only comfort was, and still is, that we were able to call these two boys our close companions. To honor them is beyond our power, but to pay tribute to their memory is our endeavor.
