4 Randy Miles Glenn Ruckhaus n Alameda's Cross Country had two objectives for the 1974 season. One was to have a large quantity of runners, the other was to improve its 1973 record, The former was accomplished, but the latter was not fully reached, Led by Senior Co-captain Val Severson the team was able to run in 3 divisions, A, B, and C. The A team was consistently led by Severson, Rick Wilson, Bob Heckendorn, Tom Nlilner, Ken IVIaurer, and Dan Kimpton. The B team had more success in bringing home ribbons, led by Rod Jensen, George Trammell, Duane Bush and Jim Lobben, The C team was the most consistent team in bringing home ribbons, led by Keith Ruckhaus, Leroy Leonard, Steve Crabb, and Bill Polvogt, The 1974 Harriers continually improved over the season, and always gave Alameda and Coach Pope 10071. These boys can be proud to have their pictures and names in this annual as a part of Alameda's 1974 Cross Country team, 92 George Trammell .X ,y- V Ken Maurer Bob Heckendorn N

AIameda's golf team, coached by Joe Rillos, did quite well this year, Alameda's juniors came through for us, and we are very proud of them. Scott Burroughs, who proved to be our most valuable player, scored in the low 80's. Another outstand- ing junior was Doug Greene, who played excellent missed going to State by one stroke. Jim Snyder proved that size does not make a golfer and turned out some of our better scores. IVlike Schram, a junior, who looks promising, showed a good year for us, The rest of the juniors are Greg Whitehair, Bob Masters, Ron and Don Jump, Steve Watt, and Scott IVliIler. Sophomores we hope to have back next year are John Raecheck, Rick IVlyeri, Eric Thompson. We would like to congratulate our Golf team for a fine season and a job well dones. .-'!'1 ?'i 93
