Brownson Heads Student Government Heading the Student Body this year was Fall President Nancy Brownson. Working along with Nancy were Lynn Pearson, vice president; Beth Cornell, recording secretary; Rita Goodman, financial secretary; and Cindy Powell, yell leader. Listening to the ideas of all the people of the school, no matter how much in the corners they were, had a great deal of effect on the quality of the Student Body Meetings. Having the meetings every two weeks, kept people involved in more school activities. Spirit Week this year, was again won by the Senior class, who were Patriots. The runner up Junior Juvies, ran a close second, followed by Sophomore 49er’s and Freshmen Surfers . Another well planned event was Homecoming Week. The week started off with all of the queen candidates participating in a pie eating contest which ended up in a fighting mess. Later in the week, the candidates were dressed up by the owners, who bought them the day before, only to be dragged back and forth in an ice blocking contest at noontime.
