Hermenia Glenn who had made outstanding contributions for the benefit of cul- turally deprived children. Principal Wilfred Sullivan has employed Barbara Howard and Bemadette Portis as head of the Elementary Department, Naomi Maryland as head of the Mathematics Department and Jo Ann Brown as head of the Business Department. McArthur Buford is coach of the football team, John Cowan, coach of the basketball team, and Roy Powe, coach of the base- ball team. Numerous members have ventured into the professional world. Kiah Edwards and Henry Kemp are renowned pharmacists while Clarence Wells and Joyce James are leading physicians. Daisy Roberts and Eva Smith are historical ad- visors to the President. Misses Fannie Brooks, Yvonne Kennedy, Willa Pollard and Floreda White have set up a huge Language Laboratory. They are profici- ent in twenty-three languages. Miss Annie Brooks is an Interpreter of Russian for the United Nations. Elizabeth Jackson is private secretary for Attorney Gen- eral, Pumell McConnell. Marcella Jackson and Mary Thomas are business accountants for Mr. Thomas Figures, president of the local bank of which Miss Johnnie R. Robinson is Financial Consultant. Harris Wilhite has been voted Editor of the Year and Yvonne Joyner, Woman of the Year. This society has taken the necessary precautions to take excellent care of its businesses. Now they feel it is time for a little pleasure. Sallie McGowin and Virginia Travis are rendering their concerts at the Emma Lathan Opera House, accompanied by Mary Brazelton and Winston Conner. James Riley has done a magnificent rendition of the Mona Lisa, for which he has won fame. Mary Frances Wilson, Alice Marie Hall and Dorothy Powe are outstanding models. Their clothes are designed by Miss Viletta Lucas. Willie Frank Davis is the leading tailor. He has just completed a three-piece suit for Governor William Campbell. The unique achievements of this society are infinite. It is the fondest de- sire of all those who share in it ' s operations that one day ail those who live now and all those who come after shall become members. We therefore deem it necessary to bequeath to our Alma Mater, Faculty, and the Freshman Class the following: Article I. To our Alma Mater, we bequeath our love, and devotion for what she has done for us. Article II. To our Director, Mr. Bishop, we bequeath our eternal gratitude for his profound interest in our scholastic as well as social achievement. Article III.
