Glass J ropnecu In 1516, Sir Thomas More presented the literary world with his Utopia. In this work, More gave an imaginative description of an ideal commonwealth based upon the common possession of goods; but, here in 1964, the Sophomore class of the Alabama State College shall present an ideal society with its common possession of goods being success and happiness. This Society is not a mere dream or an impractical fancy, but, a genuine reality. Government is an essential element of any society. President William James and First Lady Elouise Balams James have just congratulated Alfred Stokes, Ambassador to the United Nations, who has received the Nobel Peace Prize for his expert arbitration between Russia and the United States. Senators Nicholas Antone and Theresa Carraway have given dynamic speeches on the topic, Race and Marriage. To protect these brilliant senators from well- wishing mobs, policemen Johnny Burden and Robert Williams were posted at their sides. Lawyers Melvin Ross and Horace Altice were paid one million dollars each to protect the interests of multi-millionaire Kennard Thompson. Robert Howard, Speaker of the House, has received the Democratic Vice-Pres- idential nomination for the 1988 term. Religion is an intricate part of life in this society. Evangelist Winfred Hope has just returned from a world-wide preaching tour. Reverend Thomas Sumpter and his congregation have built an ultra-modern church that extends from one section of town to the other. Reverend Sumpter has employed Mildred Dunning and Mrs. Dorothy Bivens as marriage counselors. In addition to religious education, the members of this near-perfect society have set up an excellent school that ranges from kindergarten to graduate school. This school is the first of its kind. It was designed by architects ' Wilfred Sewer, Edward Robinson and James Turner. The construction contract was awarded to the Sims and Sheperd Contractors, Incorporated. The school has been named the Glenn Educational and Vocational Center in honor of Miss

Miss Annie Brooks is an Interpreter of Russian for the United Nations. Elizabeth Jackson is private secretary for Attorney Gen- eral, Pumell McConnell. The unique achievements of this society are infinite. It is the fondest de- sire of all those who share in it ' s operations that one day ail those who live now and all those who come after shall become members. May the Success and Happiness of this society remain imperishable goods. Annie Brooks
