Veteran officers and men of the ALABAMA are more than qualified members of the Ancient and Honorable Orders of BLUENOSES, SHELLBACKS, and THE GOLDEN DRAGON, for she has crossed the ARCTIC CIRCLE 6 times, the l80th MERIDIAN an equal number of times and the EQUATOR no less than 24 times. For combat duty they are entitled to wear seven stars.
