E E All the teachers we have ever had and probably ever will have, E g think us the best class going. I : W When in the third grade we knitted for the soldiers, which goes A ' g to show what an industrious and patriotic bunch we are. g I E Miss Starr, our sixth grade teacher also thought us a fine class,- E 4 in a different way. She seemed to think we had too much pep. s E Ask Ellis if the paddle didn't have ii pleasant sting. 4 I 5 The first part of our seventh year was spent in the basement I I Christian Church, as the new school house had not been completed. Q ' 0 The last half of that year we spent in the new school building, but we f g must confess that the newness has worn off. E I . . g We turned out a winning basketball team 111 the eighth grade. a s The team represented junior High but was madefup entirely of 5 g eighth graders. E I We entered High School in high spirits, but believe us, we I I lost this right after entering. The upper classes llhade our first few g A days very humiliating but we knew they had passed thru the same g ' thin ' ' g- - I , I I During our Freshman year, two of W most popular, and n E brilliant students, Irene Burke and John Francis March, passed g j away. Not only our class but the whole school felt the loss of g ' these students I I 1 ' ' I 5 Our class was rather inactive dllfing the ninth year. We gave F I Ida Mintzer a farewell party and had a class picnic at Riversioux g E Park. This was the extent of our social activities. E g Evelyn Ericson, Margaret Murphy, Roslyn Hoschler, Junice Nas- E g land, Lambtrt Jeffers, Arnold Brundeen, and William johnson, f g added pep and numbers to our class. ' E a Myrtle Adams joined us in the tenth year. 5 E Most of our history is yet to be made. g g Dorothy McCorkle Q Karl Silkebakken , ' I -Q I - . , ii. ff fs -- -Jiw. - CG i its 7 Thirty-'nine
