E I F 1 5 9 5 I THE .I UN IUR VOYAGE 5 s - E g We, the trustworthy, energetic class of '26, commenced our I E 1 voyage on the boundless sea of advanced education when we were 5 E assigned our places in the High School assembly, September 1922, E 4 Our ship was successfully piloted the First year by Arthur Dahl, Q g the second year by Karl Youngstrom and this year by Ira Hammer. H l E . As every voyage must have it's rough waters and then it's g f clear skies, so was our trip during these three successful years. Co- g g operation and remarkable guidance have so aided us that we have I g attained a reputation that others envy. E i I Our vessel has been so provided that nothing was lacking when Z f even emergencies arose. When we arrived at that point of our jour- s g ney which required basketball men, we found several worthy fellows Q g to give praiseworthy assistance. In our First attempt on the Island Q g Basketball we completely conquered all opponents and claimed the Q g tournament as the first fruits of our voyage. E 3 As we set out again we saw looming upon the horizon another E Q island which was to be conquered by Dramatists. Several embarked Q g and carried off some of the most coveted treasures from that island 5 s called Forensic. After battling with the foes for a considerable I : length of time, we captured high honors in Operetta, Plays and g 4 Glee Club. 4 I 1 H VVhile a number of strong sailors were struggling for the special : g goals, all were engaged in their tireless respective duties, endeavor- s E ing to attain the common goal of sailing the vessel successfully into g g the harbor of Graduation. I F 4 g In spite of our laudable ambitions we tarried several times dur- g g ing our voyage on pleasant islands to enjoy ourselves by means of 5 g parties, picnics and hikes. These never-to-be-forgotten diversions : g renewed the courage of our crew and served as oil to the troubled I 3 waters in the sea of education. E g In another year we will reach our journey's end, already the g g beautiful harbor of Graduation canbe seen in the distance. It is g I our earnest wish to safely pilot our vessel over this last stretch of Q Q water, and land our entire crew safely in this promising harbor.
