Crowds surged and tossed to gain ad- Q g mittance to the great auditorium to hear him play. E g I was now becoming enthusiastic over the scenes and was much interest- I f ed in seeing Evelyn Hoschler living on a farm raising melons. Just then Q s there was a sharp knock at the door and on opening it greatly to my surprise Q I there stood my classmate Theadora Yeaton. She was informing me that she E E was starring in, The VVays of Holding a Husband. ' I She asked me if I knew that Linnart Anderson was lived in my city was g Q driving a taxi, and had driven her to my home. He told her that he was Q ! working for Lynn Booth, the wealthy owner of the Booth Taxi Co. f Q She also told me while playing in New York, she had met Bernice Bur- Q E nett who said she had been studying dancing and had taken New York by Z , storm, and was now living in the Bed of Roses. At a dinner party one night he became intoxicated E and married a cook of the hotel, an extremely pretty Irish woman. After E f her death a few years later he married a former sweet heart, Violet Crow. E g Theodora said while on her way to the theatre in Chicago a large lim- 1 5 ousine crashed into her taxi and who should it be but Pearl Hendricks now 5 g the wife of the well known cartoonist Clifford Johnson. Pearl directed her s I chauffeur who was Gaines Mitchell, to take them to a hospital. VVe will admit it has been a long hard chase during which many changes have taken place Our first year was spent mostly in getting acquainted with each other and the ways of High School. About the middle of the year, we moved into the new building and had to learn the ways to the various class-rooms all over again. During our freshmen year Evelyn Hoschler was our class president W'e were not very active during our Sophomore year, but this was due mostly to faculty regulations and not because we lacked the pep. Bernice Burnett was elected class president this year Our Junior year was a very busy year as it was up to us to give the junior-Senior Banquet. VVith the cooperation of the whole class and the help of our sponsor Miss Paden, we succeeded in putting on a Carnival in the Gym XYe have taken part in all school activities and have been strongly represent ed in all activities. During this year Oma Ogden hlled the important position of president. Now as Seniors as we stand ready to go out in the world, we look back upon our four years of high School as successful and happy CLASS PROPHECY Ten years after our graduation from dear ald Akron High, I was seated in an open chair before a fire, I picked up a newspaper hoping to direct my mind from the problem of the day. As my eyes wandered over the items, I happened to see this passage Milton Ericson, the well known Professor at the University of Illinois has been offered the chair of Literature at Har vardf' VVe, his many friends join in wishing him success in his newpostion As I read these lines from my old town newspaper, fond memories of the days of Twenty-Five drifted back to me. Watcliing the fire I noticed it held me as if by magic, revealnig to me my old classmates as if they were present.
