D orothy Johnson p Synopsis The plot of the story is based on mixed identity. jones, a traveling salesman, is presented as the Bishop of Ballarat, and brother to Ebenezer Goodly, a professor with pure tanacle ideas. The real bishop in turn is mistaken for Wlilliam Bigbee, an inmate of a sanatorium, who thinks he is an Indian. ln the interest of science, Ebenezer and Richard attend a prize fight where libenezer gets a black eye, much to the concern of his wife. jones appears on the scene to escape the clutches of the law, having attended the same light. ln order to deceive his wife, Ebenezer presents him as his brother, the bishop. The situation becomes more complicated with the appearance of the real bishop. The unraveling of these difficulties afford the opportunities many an amusing scene, not the least of which occurs when Alvina Starlight trys to remind jones. who she thinks is the bishop, of his mission, namely to marry her. Finally libenezer proves the identity of the real bishop and all ends well. The following members of the Senior class contributed materially to the success of the play: Erma XVaterbury as mistress of the wardrobeg Edith Johnson, advertising managerg Hilda Hoschler, property managerg Bessie Bennitt, manager of ticket sale, Harold Clark, stage manager and Mabel Kjose, program. The success of the play is clue largely to the coaching done by Miss Irene Coons.
