3vAWWeift-gi-.it 25.4 TORPEDU RSWNA, THE FRESHMAN CLASS Un September 3. WIS. there entered the .Xkron lligh School the won- der Freshman class of 30 strong. From the first we have tried to take part in the school activities and we have been very successful in the attempt. In Athletics we came out strong. Two of the Freshmen won foot- ball suits and made a good showing at the game. The only man that didn't miss a practice was a Freshman and we think that that deserves honorable mention. Three Freshmen received basketball suits and we have a feeling that before another year is over, we'll be the backbone of the team. In Dramatics we again came out strong. The mid-winter play claimed two of our muuber for important parts. ln Declamatory we made a fine showing, getting second place in the contest. ln tilee Club and Uperetta the Freshmen lived up to their reputation. Our first party was held December 22. and it showed that as a class we could have a fine time together socially. XVhen sleighing was at its best it did not take us long before we were enjoying a bob sled party, FRESHMEN POEM XYe are the Freshmen tried and true, XYe stand for each other, we're all true blue: XXX' fight for the right, we're sure to win, XYe tackle the odds with lots of vim. The Freshmen come out for every game, You sec wt-'re striving for undying fame. lint if we can't win it, wc won't cry or snort For wc are good losers in every sport. lVe Freshmen are a lively bunch, For now and then I get a hunch That the time is drawing nigh XYhen we'll be the life of .Xkron lligh. You can not fathom the mystery Of the Freshmen of today, Till we've written our name in history, And have it there to stay. -Clarence Baldwin.
