This society is purely literary and has for its purpose the promotion of the literary life in the high school. Our Hrst program, which was given Oct. 27 had Hallowe'en traditions as its principle theme. The society has note worthy talent in puiblic speaking. One of the members, Darrel John- son, took Hrst place in humorous class over Hawarden, Ireton and Westheld in Declamatory contest.
