1LARI GURGANUS AND Michelle Acurio hoped for a victo- A Spirited Season The stadium was crowded with screaming Viking fans. People were everywhere - at the con- cession stand, talking to friends, and watching the game. This was a Friday night. A night set aside to go out to the football sta- dium and support the Air- line football team. Noth- ing is better or more con- tagious than the excite- ment of an Airline football game. They gave students a chance to show their loyalty and support to Air- line High School, and to experience victory. The band marched during halftime and strove to be the best marching band anywhere. The cheer- leaders had a goal of cheering better than the other team's cheer- leaders. The Blue Angels proved that they could dance better than any danceline in the area, and Viking fans showed every- one that the Vikes were the best. All of these groups represented Air- line proudly and did a good job at it. Football games provided a chance to bring students, faculty, and the community to- gether for one cause - to support those VIKINGS. Friday nights were loud, hot, and memorable.
