Dr. Haley Showed Concert Dr. Phillip Haley Principal For his second year at Airline, Dr. Phillip Haley's exuberance has shown throughout the year. Dr. Haley has always been an avid Airline fan in every way. During his time as principal, he has set forth many goals for himself and for the school. Already, many of these goals have been achieved, but unfortunately many remain to be conquered. Working to improve the school life at Airline, Dr. Phillip Haley has made another year of school a big success. Through his many years of working with schools, Dr. Haley has taught, as well as learned, an abundance of wisdom. Dr. Haley's perseverence has brought about several major changes in the curriculum at Airline, so that the students can better themselves. Making Air- line's academics superior, Dr. Haley has given each student a priceless opportunity to learn from exper- ienced teachers and counselors. Dr. Haley's motivation and determination show up in everything he does. 126 Valhalla

The Assistant Principals Did More Mrs. L. W. Walker Assistant Principal Mrs. Lacyne Walker has enjoyed her third year at Airline as an assistant principal. She was concerned about the day-to-day problems ofthe students and was always there for them to talk to. The time she spent in the lunchroom with her kids was important to her. Mrs. Walker felt that she was able to get to know AHS students better when they were in the relaxed atmo- sphere of the cafeteria. Her other concerns as assistant principal were that pupils will have more respect for school rules and property. Mrs. Walker and her husband, Mr. A.W. Walker, have two grown children. When not working diligently at school, she could be found doing crossword puzzles, gardening, sewing, or spending time with her grand- children. She has been an asset to our staff and truly cares about Airline's student body. as-W 128 Valhalla
