- 4 , . .,. - Commander Hang H Pakradoonl Ill Unrted States Navy Commandlng Officer Commander Hang H Pakradoonl Ill was born 30 July 1934 In Wynnewood Pennsyl vanua He was graduated from Brown Unuverslty ln February 1957 with a Bachelor of Arts degree nn Economics He subsequently recelved hls Master of Arts degree In International Economics from the Unlverslty of Mlssours Commander Pakradoonl was graduated from U S Naval Officer Candidate School Newport Rhode Island In July 1957 and was asslgned to USS YANCEY QAKA 931 as communucatlons offrcer He then served as communlcatuons offlcer ln USS WYANDOT QAKA 921 and as executive officer In USS NESPELEN fAOG 551 Following a tour as Asslstant Professor of Naval Sclence at the NROTC Unlt Unlver slty of Mlssourl Commander Pakradoonl was assigned to USS GYATT QDD 7121 as operatlons officer Subsequently he served on the staff of Commander Destroyer Squad ron Thirty Sax as chief staff officer and operatlons officer In 1966 he served as the ant: submarlne warfare offlcer on the staff of Commander MATCHMAKER Squadron the NATO multa natton destroyer squadron He then attended the Naval War College Com mand and Staff Course prior to belng asslgned to Washington where he served on the staff of the Chnef of Naval Operations Strateglc Plans Dlvlslon KOP 601 from 1967 to 1969 In September 1969 Commander Pakradoonu relieved as Executlve Officer aboard USS MITSCHER QDDG 351 where he served untll reportlng to the Career Planning Board Bureau of Naval Personnel ln 1971 Upon completlon of that tour he was ordered to USS AINSWOBTH CDE 10901 and assumed dutles as Commanding Officer In July 1974 Commander Pakradoonl wears the Merltorlous Servlce Medal Navy Commendation Medal Navy Achlevement Medal CC-old Star ln lseu of second award1 Merltorlous Unlt Commendation Natnonal Defense Service Medal and Antarctic Servlce Medal He IS married to the former Carol Ann Simpson of Wllmlngton Delaware They have two sons Mark and Grant 5
