They portray the schooi's character and spirit. Their unique character resuits from the student body The roar of the crowd, the clash of the football team against its opponent, and the swish of the bus- ketball through the net prove that Aiken is a school where enthusiasm prevoiis. By means of the many diversified activities in which the students participate, the sounds of Aiken are heard throughout the com- munity. The music of the choral and instrumental groups adds 0 note of meiody to our schooi days. The teachers' questions and the studentsi answers re-echo through the ciossrooms, bringing important knowledge, The shrill note of the passing bell always brings with it the rustling of papers, the shutcfiihg of feet, the siamming ct iockers, the hustling of people going to their next classes, and the chatting with friends. Through communication oil of these sounds indicate that the students are gaining cm understand- ing of themselves and others CONTENTS OPENING 1- 15 ACADEMICS 16-37 SPORTS 38-65 ACTIV TIES 66-113 PEOPLE 114-147 SENIORS 148-186 SENIOR INDEX 187-192 ADVERTISEMENTS 193-200 THE MAN Y SOUNDS OF AIKEN I pledge allegkznce 10 the flag V , Chatting during lunch period.
