On a cold, rainy Saturday evening two days after the Homecoming football game many students were seen dashing from cars to the gym in order to attend the first HORNET Homecoming Dance ever held at Aiken High School. To carry out the theme, the decorat- ing committee used green and white stream- ers with a huge paper football, which was placed on the portable stage. Later the Home- coming Queen and her court were introduced -Q it' ' x jo 4 7,,,,.,-c uf x X as they burst through the football and were led in the grand march by the senior football players. The rest of the students joined in this grand march, and then they all enjoyed more dancing and refreshments.
