Class of ' 1 i. Four years ago, we entered AHS with anticipation and uncertainty. Each ' ctl year brought more challenges, excitement and cherished moments. Through . J t i all our activities, the Class of '71 became united by name and class. ar' , ' ' Confident as the leaders of school life, eager to meet the challenges of the ,i gg f, future, we faced our-concluding year at AHS. I T iiitt Reflecting the senior class' momentous year of special events, activities, T ' and projects was but a mirror reflection of the planning, organizing, p f- , initiative, efforts, and spirit of the Class of '71, Talent, ingenuity, and V tt ' ftif C stamina were combined as the Senior Class rallied together to decorate their 'M' i Roadrunner float in the annual Homecoming Event. Mrs. Elaine Matsuzaki Senior 'Class Week in February appealed to the daring, the spirited, and Advisor fanciful seniors. Hilarity, comedy, laughs, Hanauma Bay and a bit of old Hawaii added to the fun-filled week. The very special Senior Banquet, We've Only Just Begun, in the beautiful and spacious Makaha Terrace became a relished get-together for the Senior Class. The warm, romantic atmosphere of the Moana Surfrider was well suited for the treasured finale of the Senior Class, the Senior Prom. The true pinnacle of our last year together was Commencement Excercises on June 5. We stumbled sometimes blindly through the daily routines never expecting the end to come so soon. Our hearts filled with mixed emotions and sadness intermingled with happy memories of our days at AHS, we go forth into another phase of our life and hope to serve mankind.
